On 28th May 2012 the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) took over the running of the individual state based business names registration systems. Now a business name registered with ASIC has effect in all states and territories in Australia, rather than having to separately register in each state or territory under the old system.
ASIC’s fee for registering a business name is just $30 for one year or $70 for three, making it a simple and cost effective way to protect your business name throughout Australia.
What is included in the Business Name Registration Package?
ASIC will email the following documents to the email address included in your order form usually within a few days
- Business Name Registration Certificate
- Business Name Confirmation and ASIC Key
- Receipt from ASIC
We will post out a copy of the form lodged and our invoice the same day the order is received
How long does it take to Register a Business Name?
Once the order is received Patricia Holdings will lodge the application with ASIC and post out a copy of the form and invoice overnight.
The form can not be
lodged electronically, and therefore must be signed by a proposed Proprietor of
the Business Name. As this signature
must be an original on the form Patricia Holdings lodges, you must send the original
signed form back to us to enable us to complete your Business Name Registration.
