We can register a business name for you in any state or territory in Australia.
Business names are only registered state-wide. Applications for Australian Business
names are processed by the Office of Fair Trading in each state and may not be
accepted if regarded by the Office as too similar to a previously registered
name. Three choices of name are usually available on the application form.
Please note, no refunds are available if your application is rejected, but you are able to re-apply within a certain time frame.

How long does it take to Register a
Business Name?
Once the order is
received, Patricia Holdings will prepare all documentation that day and post it
to you overnight.
The form can not be
lodged electronically, and therefore must be signed by a proposed Proprietor of
the Business Name. As this signature
must be an original on the form Patricia Holdings lodges, you must send the original
signed form back to us to enable us to complete your Business Name Registration.
NSW Business Names
Once we have received the original signed form, we will lodge it with the Office of Fair Trading and once registered the documents will be couriered out to you.
Other States
Once we have received the original signed form, we will post it to the relevant Office of Fair Trading and once we have received back the Business Name certificate the documents will be couriered out to you. Please note that the process can take between 4-6 weeks.
